Empower workers to request changes with approval

Product: Platform

Workers can now request updates to their personal information directly from Deel. These changes are reviewed and approved by organization admins, ensuring that only verified updates are applied. This new process streamlines data management while giving organizations full control over changes. Pending requests stay inactive until approved, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the board. Organizations can also disable this approval requirement in settings if desired.

How this helps your team:

  • Efficiency: Workers can initiate updates themselves, saving HR teams valuable time.
  • Control: Organization admins approve all changes, ensuring data integrity.
  • Flexibility: Disable the approval process if it doesn’t align with your organization’s workflow.

Customization coming soon: Future iterations will offer additional configuration options for enterprise needs.

Easily generate and share year-end W-2/W-3 forms

Product: US Payroll

Deel now makes it easier for US employers to meet the IRS January 31 deadline for W-2 and W-3 forms. This new feature allows employers to generate and distribute year-end tax forms directly from the Deel platform. Employees can access their W-2s via the Finance tab, while employers can view and manage all forms in the “Payroll”section under Tax Documents. Simplify tax season with a streamlined process that ensures compliance and accessibility.

Simplify scheduling with localized datepicker formats

Product: Platform

To improve user experience across regions, the datepicker now supports multiple formats: DD/MM/YYYY, YYYY/MM/DD, and MM/DD/YYYY. The default format is automatically set based on the user’s profile country, ensuring clarity and alignment with regional norms. Users can now enjoy an intuitive and localized experience when working with dates on the platform.

How to update your date format:

  1. Go to Profile Settings > Language and Region > Date Format.
  2. Select your preferred date format from the available options
  3. Save your changes, and the new format will be applied instantly to all datepicker components.

What’s next: Future updates will refine the feature further by introducing additional country mappings and renaming the field to "Datepicker Format" for enhanced clarity.

Gain full visibility with the new compensation profile

Product: Platform

Deel’s new compensation profile centralizes all worker compensation details in one place, giving both employers and workers a clear view of total compensation, including base salary, variable pay, and historical changes. This update eliminates fragmented views, ensuring a more transparent and intuitive way to manage compensation.

How to access the compensation profile:

  1. Navigate to a worker’s Person Profile in Deel.
  2. Click on the Compensation tab to see a detailed breakdown of their total pay, including salary insights, bonuses, and scheduled changes.
  3. View Compensation History to track changes over time, improving traceability and accountability.

What’s next: Future updates will introduce compensation approvals, enhanced salary insights, and expanded data visualization to provide even deeper financial visibility.

Simplify payroll provider management with external ICP support

Product: Global Payroll

Deel now enables clients to onboard, manage, and offboard external in-country providers (ICPs) directly within the platform. This update enhances Payroll Connect by giving clients full visibility and control over their payroll providers, ensuring seamless operations and compliance. Clients can now add ICPs, map them to entities, and invite ICP representatives to manage payroll tasks—centralizing everything in one place.

How to add external ICPs:

  1. Navigate to Organization Settings > Payroll Service Providers.
  2. Add an external ICP, map them to an entity, and define access permissions.
  3. Invite ICP employees to Deel to perform payroll-related tasks on your behalf.

What’s next: Future updates will refine the ICP onboarding experience and introduce enhanced reporting tools for even better payroll management.
