What are you hiring for?
For a large majority of businesses, the process of searching for and hiring new talent is led by job title matching, rather than job skill and data intelligence. This is often the case internally too – when promoting or transferring people between teams. Large businesses aren’t collecting or tapping into talent data to truly understand the work each person in their role should be doing and how to use this to plan for future growth and to achieve greater business success.
Research from Deloitte has found that 83 percent of 924 companies surveyed globally have low people analytics maturity. This lack of data can have a knock-on effect on businesses being able to effectively execute key HR practices such as international hiring, flexible working, and building global teams as they are not equipped with the knowledge on what skills they need to bring in. As businesses continue to navigate a post-Brexit world and tough economic conditions, understanding talent needs is vital.
During this session Matt Monette, Country Lead and Head of Expansion UK&I at Deel, and Bruce Jennings, Partner at Deloitte UK, will discuss whether businesses really have the understanding needed to hire talent that is required for their business to grow, asking: what are you hiring for?
