An Employer of Record (EOR) is a legal structure that lets you hire full-time employees in countries where you don’t have a legal entity. In APAC, this means Deel becomes the official employer for your hire — handling contracts, registration, payroll, and local compliance — while you manage their day-to-day work. This setup gives you legal coverage without the complexity of company formation.

Unlike other Employer of Record platforms, we own our entities in 110+ countries—with 19 across APAC—ensuring direct compliance, local bank accounts, and in-house HR, legal, and payroll support.

Setting up your own entity in APAC can take 3–12 months, depending on the country, and involves high legal, accounting, and maintenance costs. In contrast, Deel EOR lets you hire in days, not months. You avoid hiring local legal counsel, opening bank accounts, registering with tax and social security authorities, and managing ongoing compliance. It’s ideal for testing new markets or hiring opportunistically without long-term commitment.

We have in-house legal, tax, and HR experts across APAC. This means we apply the latest labour code updates, including probation period lengths, notice periods, severance rules, and benefit eligibility automatically. Yes. We handle all required social contributions and statutory benefits based on each country’s rules. Across APAC, this includes things like CPF in Singapore, MPF in Hong Kong, BPJS health and pension in Indonesia, SSS and PhilHealth in the Philippines, and social insurance in Japan and Korea. We ensure every hire is correctly registered, payments are made on time, and local thresholds are applied, so you stay compliant automatically.

Labour laws, tax rates, and social contributions can vary widely between provinces in China and states in India. Deel operates with local legal entities and in-region experts to ensure every hire is fully compliant with location-specific regulations. This includes things like regional payroll taxes and PF/ESI rules in India, to social insurance and housing fund contributions in China. Our platform automatically applies the correct settings based on where your employee is located.

Yes. Every Deel EOR customer in APAC is assigned a Customer Success Manager and Account Executive who speaks your local language, depending on your preference. They’re based in-region and understand local business culture and timelines. Support is available via chat, email, or live meetings, and we also offer regionally timed onboarding calls for your new hires in their language.

Yes. You remain in full control of your team’s responsibilities, performance, work hours, tools, and targets. Deel’s role is strictly administrative and legal—we process payroll, ensure legal contracts, and handle statutory compliance. You get a dashboard to track everything, and your employees see you as their real employer in terms of work. Deel stays in the background unless needed for HR compliance.
