How does Deel's ATS handle candidate data and AI-driven screening?
Candidates submit their information directly through the employer's careers page. The employer controls what data is collected, how long it's retained, and when it's deleted — Deel processes the data on their behalf.
AI-driven screening is optional and compares only the information candidates submit with the job criteria defined by the employer. It provides match insights to support recruiters. It does not make hiring decisions or use external data sources.
All AI features operate under strict data protection controls, including contractual limits on data use and human oversight for every decision. Your data is never used to train AI models.

How does AI matching work in Deel's ATS?
AI matching compares the information a candidate chooses to submit — such as their CV and application responses — with the job description and criteria defined by the hiring team.
The system evaluates how closely the candidate's submitted experience aligns with the requirements set for the role. It doesn't use external data sources, search for additional information about candidates, or make independent judgments. AI matching is designed to support hiring teams by highlighting relevant matches based on the inputs provided. Final decisions always remain with human reviewers.
Does Deel's ATS notify candidates when AI is used in the hiring process?
Yes. Career pages generated through Deel's ATS automatically include AI disclosure language, so candidates are informed at the point of application. When recording is used during interviews, candidates are notified before the session begins and can choose to opt out.
