How Deel came about

After graduating from MIT in 2014, Co-Founders Alex Bouaziz (CEO) and Shuo Wang (CRO) noticed a trend among their friends: they couldn’t get high-paying jobs they were highly qualified for due to visa issues and local labor laws in other countries. It was an apparent problem.

The duo started Deel to make a change for people everywhere by empowering companies to eliminate hiring borders—so anyone, anywhere in the world, could access new opportunities.

At Deel, we’ve always been our first customer, which helps keep us poised to break new ground for our customers. As the company and team grew, we tackled more problems we faced, from onboarding employees to automating tedious processes. Now, Deel's evolved beyond just hiring to simplify every aspect of building a global team.

Alex Bouaziz (CEO & Medstifter)

Alex Bouaziz is the CEO and co-founder of Deel, the all-in-one HR platform for global teams. Founded in 2019, Deel’s technology helps companies simplify every aspect of managing an international workforce, from culture and onboarding, to local payroll and compliance. In just under four years, the company has grown to 4,000+ team members worldwide in over 100 different countries and raised over $600 million in funding. It has 35,000-plus customers, including Shopify, Nike, and Lego. Alex grew up in Paris and graduated from Technion and then MIT with a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Prior to Deel he co-founded investment fund Sarona Ventures. In 2020 he was featured on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Finance list. Outside of Deel, Alex enjoys cheering on Paris Saint-Germain Football Club.

Shuo Wang (CRO & medstifter)

Shuo Wang er Chief Revenue Officer og medstifter af Deel, en alt-i-en HR-platform til globale teams. Shuo driver Deles omsætning og ledte virksomheden i at skalere fra $1-$100M ARR på under 20 måneder. Deel forenkler alle aspekter af administrationen af en international arbejdsstyrke, fra kultur til løn og compliance. Virksomheden er vokset til 4.000+ teammedlemmer over hele kloden i 100+ lande, har rejst over 600 millioner dollars i finansiering og har 35.000+ kunder, herunder Shopify, Nike og Lego. Før Deel var Shuo med til at grundlægge Aeris Cleantec og fungerede som CTO, indtil virksomheden blev opkøbt af iRobot. Shuo har en bachelorgrad i maskinteknik og robotteknologi fra MIT, hvor hun mødte Deels CEO, Alex Bouaziz. Shuo brænder for at inspirere flere kvinder til at engagere sig i softwareudvikling, produktstyring og markedsføring.
