Your need-to-know snapshot
Global remote hiring is alive and well
Despite growing return-to-office measures, global remote hiring continues to climb, expanding beyond technical roles. Domestic hiring in Deel’s largest organisation countries, like the US, Australia and the UK, also rose this year.

Salaries and job demand increasing
Most regions saw salaries increase or stay flat on average in 2023. In NAM, results were mixed — hiring was up, but so were terminations, while salaries dipped again.

Terminations up in the US but declining overall
Involuntary terminations peaked in the US throughout 2023. Globally, involuntary terminations peaked in January, but there were 52% fewer terminations overall in November 2023 than in January 2023.
