Minimum Wage Requirements
Deel’s company policy permits only exempt (salaried) workers. The current federal minimum salary for exempt employees is $35,568 per year. However, five states—California, Colorado, Maine, New York, and Washington—have established higher minimum salary requirements. Employees residing in these states must be paid at least the applicable state minimum salary. For employees in all other states, the minimum annual salary must meet or exceed the federal threshold.
Individual Income Tax
