As long as they have the tools, such as a phone, laptop, and wifi connection, location-independent people can work from a cafe, coworking space, or an entirely new continent.
Location independence is also different from being a digital nomad since you are not obligated to travel frequently and may choose to have a home base. However, you can still switch countries or locations when you feel like it.
