Hiring and paying talent in the EU has reached a critical turning point, and the EU Pay Transparency Directive and the EU AI Act are approaching fast.

If your team uses AI for job evaluations, performance scoring, or recruitment, you may be operating "High Risk" systems as defined by the EU AI Act. Under the new rules, you can’t justify a pay gap by saying "the algorithm decided it." You must be able to explain the logic and demonstrate that there was a human-in-the-loop to prove your pay is objective and gender-neutral.
