Minimum Wage Requirements

The minimum wage is COP 1,750,905, and the Integral Minimum Salary is COP 22,761,765.

Individual Income Tax

The individual income tax ranges from 0% to 39%. Income tax is calculated according to progressive rates. Multiple additional factors may impact overall rates such as the household status and the number of children.

Payroll Cost

The calculation of employer costs for social security varies based on the type of salary the employee receives. For employees with ordinary salaries, the social security costs are calculated on 100% of the employee's salary, up to a maximum basis of COP 343,772,625 for 2026. For employees with integral salaries, social security costs are calculated on 70% of their salary, up to the same maximum basis.

Please note: EOR employees in Colombia are entitled to a minimum of 15 days of paid vacation a year. These 15 days of paid vacation are equal to 4.17% of the employee's gross annual salary.

*Paid 50% in June and 50% in December

Conditional Costs
- Legal Connectivity Allowance - COP 140,606 prorated based on days worked, only for employees with salaries under 2 minimum legal wages

  • Employer Liability Cost - An administrative fee of 0.60% is applied to ensure ongoing worker compensation and liability coverage

Overtime Pay & Maximum Hours

O pagamento de trabalho suplementar é obrigatório para trabalhadores que recebem menos de COP 13 000 000 por mês. As horas fora do horário normal de trabalho são consideradas trabalho suplementar. Para as horas adicionais, os trabalhadores recebem um acréscimo de:
- 25% da taxa horária numa semana de trabalho normal
- 75% da taxa horária para turnos noturnos, domingos e feriados
- 150% da taxa horária para turnos noturnos em domingos e feriados
Os trabalhadores com direito a pagamento de horas suplementares podem fazer no máximo duas horas suplementares por dia e um máximo de 48 horas totais por semana.

O horário de trabalho padrão é de oito horas por dia, 40 horas por semana. A semana de trabalho padrão é de segunda a sexta-feira. De acordo com a Lei 2101 de 2021, o máximo de horas semanais de trabalho para trabalhadores na Colômbia deve ser progressivamente reduzido de 48 para 42 horas nos próximos anos.
Esta alteração não afeta os salários e benefícios dos trabalhadores.
A redução do máximo de horas semanais será aplicada anualmente a 15 de julho, de 2023 a 2026:
- 2023: De 48 para 47 horas.
- 2024: De 47 para 46 horas.
- 2025: De 46 para 44 horas.
- 2026: De 44 para 42 horas.
A redução do máximo de horas semanais termina a 15 de julho de 2026.
