Minimum Wage Requirements

Overtime Pay & Maximum Hours
Las horas de trabajo estándar son 8 horas por día, 40 horas por semana. La semana laboral estándar es de lunes a viernes. Sin embargo, si ambas partes lo acuerdan, la jornada estándar puede ser de 6 horas y los días laborables de lunes a sábado.
En Grecia, existen dos tipos de horas extra: "iperergasia" e "iperoria". La ley exige pagar horas extra a los empleados, y las tasas varían según el tipo de hora extra.

Para empleados que trabajan 40 horas a la semana en 6 días, las primeras 8 horas de horas extra (1 hora y 20 minutos por día) se consideran iperergasia.
Para empleados que trabajan 40 horas a la semana en 5 días, las primeras 5 horas de horas extra (1 hora por día) se consideran iperergasia.
La iperergasia se paga con un aumento del 20 % sobre la tarifa horaria normal del empleado.
No es necesario informar a las autoridades sobre este tipo de horas extra.
Horas Extra: Iperoria
Cualquier hora extra trabajada después de las horas clasificadas como iperergasia se considera iperoria.
Las autoridades deben ser informadas con antelación sobre la iperoria, y debe existir una razón válida para ello. La iperoria no puede exceder las 3 horas por día (excluyendo la iperergasia) ni las 150 horas por año (excluyendo la iperergasia).
La iperoria se paga con un aumento del 40 % sobre la tarifa horaria normal del empleado hasta alcanzar el máximo de 150 horas por año.
Para trabajar más de 150 horas extra en un año, el empleador necesita un permiso especial del Ministerio de Trabajo y debe pagar un aumento del 60 % sobre su tarifa horaria habitual.
