Alex Bouaziz is co-founder and CEO of Deel, the payroll and HR platform for global teams. Founded in 2019, Deel helps companies simplify every aspect of scaling and managing an international workforce, from culture and onboarding, to local payroll and compliance. In just seven years, the company has grown to 7,000+ team members in 110+ countries, secured more than $1bn in funding at a $17.3bn valuation and supports 40,000+ customers. Alex brings a founder-first mindset and the precision of an engineer to working with clients who want to scale internationally and builds products to address their challenges. Alongside leading Deel’s product, engineering and go-to-market teams, Alex spends time on acquisition and partnership opportunities. Alex grew up in Paris. He graduated from Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering. At MIT, Alex met co-founder Shuo Wang, and the two founded Deel after connecting over the shared experience of hiring challenges for international workers in prior ventures. Alex is an investor in early-stage technology companies, including in Clickhouse, Kalshi, Ramp and Clay, and draws on his experience as a repeat founder to mentor other founders of high-growth startups. Prior to Deel, Alex co-founded investment fund Sarona Ventures.
