DeAnn is Deel's Global Corporate General Counsel. She provides legal and strategic guidance, and leads a highly international legal team, overseeing corporate, litigation, IP and regulatory affairs for the company. Before Deel, DeAnn served as Deputy GC and Chief Compliance Officer for Altaba, Inc., a $50 billion+ AUM investment vehicle, overseeing complex global transactions. Before that, she was SVP, Senior Deputy GC and CCO for Broadcom Corporation, leading corporate and securities, M&A, employment law, regulatory and compliance, and government relations. At Broadcom, she led numerous domestic and global transactions and the expansion of legal operations in Asia. She has also held senior roles at Safeco Insurance and McKesson. DeAnn began her career as a corporate and M&A lawyer at Davis Polk & Wardwell, working in New York and Paris. She then spent several years in business strategy roles for high growth tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving in house. DeAnn has an A.B. from Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, JD from Harvard, where she was an Editor of the Harvard Law Review, and LLM from the University of New South Wales.
