Hire employees in Mauritius. No entity needed.
Usually, to hire in Mauritius, your business needs an entity. That means a local office, an address registered as a subsidiary, and an account with a local bank. All of this, plus navigating regional benefits, payroll, tax, and HR laws, can take months.
Mauritius also treats contractors differently than full-time employees, so misclassifying a contractor could lead to fines. Deel lets you hire employees in Mauritius quickly, easily, and compliantly. We even automate tax document collection, payroll, benefits, and more.

Compliant terminations include:

Severance for Employees
In Mauritius, all employees who are terminated due to unfair dismissal are entitled to severance pay. Severance pay is decided upon in a disciplinary committee meeting.
To protect you from unforeseen financial risks arising from terminations, Deel applies a Severance Accrual to all employment agreements in this country. Deel has extensive expertise in managing litigation risk globally and our Severance Accrual calculation is based on the prevailing common-law or statutory entitlements and local best practices. In the event your employee resigns or is not entitled to severance, all unused amounts will be returned to you.
Paid Time Off
Full-time employees are entitled to 22 working days of paid time off (PTO) a year. PTO accrues monthly at 1.84 days per month. Employees are eligible for full annual leave after 12 months of work. However, if the employee has no absence (including sick leave) in the first six months of employment, the employee is entitled to 1 day of PTO per month from months 7-12.
Part-time employees are entitled to the number of days a week worked divided by the number of days of the working week (5) times the number of days leave for a full-time employee (22).
