Minimum Wage Requirements

The monthly minimum wage is TRY 33.030.00 gross per month effective January 1, 2026.

Payroll Cost

The employer cost is generally estimated at 21.75% of the employee salary:

  • Universal Health Insurance: 7.5%
  • Long-term Insurance Branch Premium: 12%
  • Short-term Insurance Branch Premium: 2.25%
  • Unemployment Insurance: 2%
  • *Social Security Institution (SSI) incentive: - 2%

Please note: The minimum salary used for the calculations is TRY 33,030.00 (national minimum wage) and the maximum salary is TRY 297.270,00.

Overtime Pay & Maximum Hours

Standard working hours are 9 hours a day, including 1-hour unpaid break, five days per week. The standard working week is Monday to Friday. It is common practice for employees to request a workweek of 37.5 hours, 7.5 hours per day.
