Deel welcomes its newest leaders

Welcomes Anthony Luis Rodriguez as Chief Compliance Officer, DeAnn Work as General Counsel, and Charles Martelli as Head of Enablement; promotes Dor Barda to Head of Finance

As we have scaled our business in pursuit of a future public offering, we are also evolving our leadership and wider team to reflect the complex needs of our customers in an ever-changing environment. In that spirit, we are excited to share the leaders that will help with Deel, and our customers’ ever-changing needs:

Chief Compliance Officer
The future of global work includes adjusting to significant - and sometimes sudden - political, policy and process changes. As our customers across 165+ countries continue to come to us to help solve complex problems, we decided to evolve our compliance team under a formalized leadership role.

In February of this year, we appointed Anthony Luis Rodriguez as our Chief Compliance Officer. Anthony is a global financial compliance expert with over 20 years of industry experience, most recently having served as Chief Compliance Officer at Corpay Cross-Border Solutions. At Deel he will lead the global compliance and financial compliance teams as well as drive our regulatory strategy forward. His focus will be to strengthen Deel's global risk and compliance posture.

General Counsel
We are also excited to welcome DeAnn Work as Deel’s General Counsel, where she’ll oversee more than 70 in-house lawyers. For over 30 years, DeAnn has served in senior leadership roles, most recently as Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at Altaba Inc. and SVP, Senior Deputy General Counsel and CCO at Broadcom Corporation. DeAnn has deep expertise advising on strategic corporate, securities, regulatory, IP, privacy matters. She began her career in corporate law, working at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Paris after graduating from Harvard Law School. She sits on the board of Broadcom Foundation, an organization focused on expanding opportunities in STEM careers for underserved populations, and Fresh Lifelines for Youth, serving young people in Northern California. She has deep transaction and regulatory experience across both public and private companies around the world, which supports Deel’s preparation for a future IPO.

Head of Enablement
Earlier this year, we hired Charles Martelli as our Head of Enablement, whose role is to support Deel’s rapid growth across Sales, Customer Support, Customer Success, Operations, and Customer Education. Charles has led his own coaching practice, Salesletics, and held senior Enablement and Sales Leader positions at MongoDB, Khoros, and other technology-driven businesses. The expertise and quality he will bring to his role at Deel will contribute to our rapid customer growth and retention.

Head of Finance
We’ve promoted Dor Barda to Head of Finance, CPA, after nearly five years at Deel. Dor joined Deel from the Israel Innovation Authority as a Director of Finance and has been promoted twice to now lead a critical department. Her team’s remit spans finance, financial operations, international licensing and risk assessment. We look forward to Dor continuing to bring organization, precision and execution to our finance function.
