Minimum Wage Requirements

Der Mindestlohn in Nicaragua liegt je nach Wirtschaftssektor zwischen NIO 5.950,02 und NIO 13.315,61 pro Monat.

Individual Income Tax

Die Einkommensteuer reicht von 15% bis maximal 30% und basiert auf dem Nettoeinkommen nach Abzug der Beiträge an das Nicaraguanische Sozialversicherungsinstitut (INSS). Die Einkommensteuer wird nach progressiven Sätzen berechnet.

Payroll Cost

Die Arbeitgeberkosten werden allgemein auf 25,10% des Gehalts der/des Mitarbeitenden geschätzt.

  • Nicaraguanisches Sozialversicherungsinstitut (INSS) - 22,50%

  • Nationales Technologisches Institut (INATEC) - 2%

  • Arbeitgeberhaftungskosten - Eine Verwaltungsgebühr von 0,60% wird erhoben, um die laufende Arbeitnehmerentschädigung und Haftungsdeckung sicherzustellen.

Overtime Pay & Maximum Hours

Überstundenvergütung ist verpflichtend. Stunden außerhalb der regulären Arbeitszeit gelten als Überstunden, mit der Ausnahme, dass die/der Mitarbeitende einen von ihr/ihm verursachten Fehler behebt. Mitarbeitende können maximal 3 Stunden Überstunden pro Tag bzw. 9 Stunden pro Woche leisten. Überstunden müssen zuerst vom Arbeitgeber genehmigt werden. Mitarbeitende können Überstunden nicht geltend machen, wenn diese nicht zuvor mit dem Arbeitgeber vereinbart wurden.

Die Standardarbeitszeit beträgt 9 Stunden pro Tag und 48 Stunden pro Woche. Die Standardarbeitswoche läuft von Montag bis Freitag.
